Braised Tofu recipe -Healthy snacks with Tofu - Tofu recipes - Spicy Korean tofu recipe

We make tofu snacks/ starters at least once a week. I have tasted braised tofu at one of the local restaurants when I went out for lunch (of course before all this corona madness started) I saw this Tofu dish on the menu I wanted to order. By then my colleagues ordered the food I thought we can do it next time. By the time food arrived, I saw the tofu dish. My colleagues know me well.. I always order tofu dish so they have ordered for me. I loved it so much I have noted it down in my to-try list. Finally, I managed to do this.
Ingredients


Firm Tofu -3 medium blocs
The green portion of spring onion - 2 tablespoon
salt to taste
Sesame oil - 2 tablespoon (to shallow fry Tofu) + 1 teaspoon of oil
Onion - 1/2 (sliced)
Garlic - 3 pods (sliced)

For Sauce

Sugar - 2 teaspoon
Soya sauce -1.5 tablespoons
Red chili sauce - 1.5 tablespoons
Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to spice level)
roasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
salt a pinch (optional)


Method
Mix in all the ingredients under the sauce section. mix well
Heat sesame oil. Place diced tofu. Shallow fry till all sides are slightly brown. Remove it
Heat oil. Add garlic, onion & salt. Fry till transparent. Add fried Tofu. Mix well. cook for 2 mins
Add sauce mix well. Add green onion mix well
Switch off and serve!
