My kids love Mushroom.. This is one of the most flavourful dish which can be served as a snack or starter. I find it tastes better when it is hot. So it may not suitable for parties. I loved simple garlic, mixed Italian flavour in this dish. Whole house smelled divine. So far I have used mostly button mushroom in my recipe.. There are so many varieties. Every time I think I should try something different next time. But when I shop my hands goes to button mushroom only.. I hope sometime (soon) I get to try other variety.

Button Mushroom - 250 to 300 g
Garlic  - 10 pods (Chopped finely. If you want less garlicky taste reduce it)
Olive Oil - 4 tablespoon
Mixed Italian herbs - 1 teaspoon (I have used store brought dried spices)
Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon (I have used dried spices)
Salt to taste
Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to spice level)
Cheese  - 2 tablespoon (optional)
Butter - 2 teaspoon


Clean Mushroom. Refer here for cleaning mushroom. Peel and chop garlic finely.
Add Garlic, all spices, salt, Coriander Leaves and Olive oil. Mix well. Keep it aside for 30 mins. 
Heat Pan and add marinated mushroom and fry at high flame for 1 min. Grease the baking tray with lavish butter. Transfer fried mushroom to baking tray. Sprinkle Cheese
Pre heat the oven at 200 degree C. Bake the mushroom at 200 degree C for 10 mins
Serve hot
