Stuffed Oreo Chocolate chip cookies recipe - Oreo Stuffed cookies - Cookies recipes - Kids friendly Recipes

In our family, Oreo seems to be the most favourite biscuit around kids. I am not a big fan of Oreo. I was looking at a post in Buzzfeed and I saw this stuffed oreo cookies and my son who happen to pass by asked me if I was going to make it (it is like can you make it). I decided to surprise him when we came back from his outing and I served him the cookies and told him it was chocolate chip cookies. He asked why it was so big. I told him to try first and let me know the taste. He was so happy to find out that it was actually Oreo stuffed cookies. You can try and surprise your kids too. For the base cookies I followed my shortbread cookies

All purpose flour - 1.5 cup
Wheat flour / Atta - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/8 teaspoon
Butter - 2 stick (1 cup)
Icing Sugar -1 cups
Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Choco Cookies  - 2 tablespoon
Oreo Cookies - 9

Shift the flour and salt together. Keep it aside. In broader bowl take butter and icing sugar and beat it till it is creamy and smooth. Scrap the sides as required.
I have used hand mixer. Now add Vanilla extract and beat again. Now add Flour and bring together with your hands. Add Chocolate chips and mix again.
Make a stiff dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and keep it in refrigerator for an hour.

Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Take out marble size dough. Fatten into small disc using palm. Keep another disc ready. On one of the disc place oreo (like in pic) and close it with another cookie disc
Bring all the edges together to cover Oreo and make a stuffed cookies
Arrange the cookies in the baking tray. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree C. Bake the cookies for 10-12 mins or till the cookies are slightly browned. Cool it completely
Store it in air tight container and enjoy it
