Bread Dahi Vada - Bread Thayir Vadai - Healthy snack recipe - Chaat recipes

I love chaat. Actually my entire family loves it. My kids are big fans of curd vadai. I make both fried version and baked version. Other day they were asking me to do Thyair vada but I haven't soaked Urad dhal. It is already 5+ in the evening. So I have decided to try out Bread Dhai vada. Originally I thought it would be saggy so they may not like it .. But they really loved it. It is perfect quick snack for the kids. I have used same recipe for Yogurt sauce as my curd vadai

Yogurt - 3 Cups

Ginger - 1 teaspoon (finely chopped. Didn't use)

Ghee - 1 teaspoon
For Garnishing

Red chutney / Sweet chutney - 2 to 3 tablespoon (Optional)
Green chutney - 1 teaspoon (Optional. I didn't use.)

Heat ghee and add almond. Fry till brown color. Add coconut fry for 2 mins. Add red chilli powder, Sugar and Coriander leaves and mix well. Keep it aside. (If you are adding Carrot, ginger then add that too) Fry for 2 mins. Keep it aside.

Add 1 tablespoon of this mixture to 1/2 of yogurt and grind to smooth paste.

Add rest of the yogurt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well.

Remove the sides of the bread. Slice it in desired shape and size. Dip bread in water and squeeze extra water out.
Spread the filling. Close it with another slightly wet Bread.

Press the sides to close it. Appy butter on one side. Toast it till slight brown

Arrange the toasted bread in a plate.

Just before serving. Add yogurt sauce. Decorate it with Sev and red chutney
