Shahi Mushroom recipe - Creamy Rich Mushroom recipe - vegetarian gravy recipe

This gravy is so creamy and rich.. Everyone in my family enjoyed it with Chapathi and rice also. This is so simple and tasty mushroom based gravy! Other day when I was doing my weekly vegetable shopping I saw this cute, big button mushroom.. It was so tempting to buy. Once I reached home my son wanted to make some naan . So I have decided to some simple mushroom gravy. My husband tried this steamed brown rice.. he loved it too..So here you go with Shahi Mushroom Gravy

Button mushroom - 400g
Onion - 1
Tomatoes - 3
Cashew & Almond paste - 2 Tablespoon
garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 3/4 teaspoon (adjust to your spice level)
Fresh cream - 2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon of ghee / butter (u can replace it with oil)
Ginger paste - 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic - 1 teaspoon
Shai sheera - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Bay leaves - 1


Heat Ghee and add sliced Mushroom, salt and fry till they are are cooked and all the water is absorbed
Add 3 teaspoon of oil Add onion fry till transparent. Add Ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes off. Add tomatoes and fry till mushy. 
Add Turmeric powder, chilli powder,  coriander powder, garam masala. And fry till nice aroma is released. Switch it off and let it cool down
Grind soaked Cashew/almond. Grind fried onion and tomatoes to sooth paste
Add rest of oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, shai sheera and bay leaves. Let it crackle. Add grinded paste. Fry for 2 mins. Add Cashew/almond paste, Cream. and 3/4 cup of water.
Let it boil add fried mushroom and mix well. Let it boil for 3-4 mins. Add coriander leaves and mix well

Serve hot
