Kids Friendly Eggless Tutti Frutti Cookies Homemade Recipe by Veena Theagarajan.

My kids love cookies. I always look for opportunities to bake. Baking cookies always gives me an opportunity to involve kids in the cooking process.. They enjoy it too. I had some left over tutti frutti in the fridge. With Christmas, I nearing wanted to bake this colorful cookies. It is so colorful even people who are not big fans of cookies are attracted to it. It really enhances the festive mood

Butter - 150 grams
Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
Custard powder - 85 gram
All purpose flour - 175 gram
Whole wheat pastry flour - 75gram (You can use Atta / wheat flour too)
Tutti Frutti  - 100 to 150 g ( I have used only 100 as my kids wanted bit less fruits)
Powdered sugar - 125 to 150 gram ( I have used 125)
Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Milk - 2 tablespoon (or water for Vegan option)


In a bowl Cream butter and sugar together. Mix in custard powder, baking powder, whole wheat pastry flour, All purpose flour, Mixed Tutti frutti. Keep it aside
Mix in Tutti frutti and vanilla essence, milk mix well.  Add dry ingredients in batches and mix well. 
Keep the dough in fridge for 1 hour. Take it out. and roll out the dough in thin sheet. Slice it in desired shape
Arrange it in baking tray. Pre heat the oven for at 180 degree and bake the cookies for 13-15 mins or till sides are brown.Let it cool down and store it in airtight container.
