Vegetable Manchurian Gravy Recipe - Perfect side dish for fried rice - indo chinese vegetarian gravy recipe

My kids love fusion dishes. I love it since my childhood. Other day I was planning to do mushroom fried rice and was thinking about side dish to go with it. Fried rice and manchurian what a combo!. Without 2nd thought I decided to go for it. 
For balls:
Carrot - 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
Cabbage - 1 cup (finely chopped)
Beans - 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
Pepper powder (black) - 1/2 teaspoon
All purpose flour / Maida - 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoon
Corn flour - 3 tablespoons
Rice flour - 2 tablespoons
Soya sauce - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

For sauce:
Spring onion (bottom portion) - 2 tablespoon
Garlic - 7 pods (chopped finely)
Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
Corn flour - 2 tablespoon
Soya sauce - 1.5 tablespoon
Tomato sauce - 3/4 teaspoon
Chilli sauce - 1 teaspoon
Spring onion & coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Pepper powder - 3/4 teaspoon
Green chillies - 1 finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil-2 teaspoon


First we need to prepare the vegetable balls. mix all the ingredients under for balls section. Make a dough which is in vada dough consistent by adding water little by little. Heat oil in deep curved pan. When oil is hot,Wet your hands and make a lemon size ball of vegetable dough and drop it in hot oil slowly. 
Let it cook medium flame. Drain the excess oil and leave it on kitchen tissue paper. Repeat till all the dough is done.
Now we are ready to make gravy, Heat pan and add oil when t is hot add ginger and garlic. Fry till they are brown in color. Add spring onion and fry for 30 sec. Add soya sayce, chilli sauce, pepper powder and green chillies. Fry for 30 sec in medium high flame. 
Mix the corn flour in the water and add it to the pan and mix well ( I have mixed the corn flour in 2 cups of water). Let it boil till the gravy is shiny. Add the vegetable balls and spring onion. Mix well. Let it boil for 3 to 4 mins.
Serve hot with fried rice
