Sprout Salad / Sundal - Diet recipes

These days I make sprout at least once a week. Kids love it too. I wanted to make some simple salad for my dieting plan. So I made this refreshing salad with simple spices. It tasted extremely good. It is perfect for evening after school snack too

Sprouted green gram dhal - 1.5 cup
Pepper powder - 3/4 teaspoon (adjust to your spice level)
Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon 
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds -1/4 teaspoon
Urad dhal - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 10
Coriander leaves  - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
Salt to taste


Pressure cook the sprouts for just one whistle with just little water and salt. when it is cool down drain the water. Heat the pan and add oil. When it is hot add mustard seeds. When it start to pop add urad dhal and curry leaves. Fry till dhals are brown in color. Add pepper powder, cumin powder fry for 10 sec. Add cooked dhal Fry till extra water is absorbed and lemon juice. Mix well.

Serve hot
