My kids are fond of dosa. They prefer dosa over idli. I love to try dosa with different grains. Actually it is easier to do experiment with dosa than idli. Even though my family likes quinoa they prefer it in the form of Salad and soup. When I first tried this dosa before tasting it they were not very impressed. But after having this they really loved it. I make this more often these days
Ingredients
Idli rice - 1 cup
Quinoa- 2 cup
Urad dhal / Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/8 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil for making dosa
Method
Wash and soak all the ingredients except salt for 5-7 hours. Grind it to smooth paste using food processor / blender / grinder with salt. Batter should be little watery compared to Idli (Same as dosa batter)
Leave the dough outside and let it ferment for 6-7 hours. Heat the dosa pan. When it is hot take a laddle full of batter and pour it on the flat pan. Spread the batter outwards. Sprinkle oil around it and let it cook. Once brown spots start to appear fold it and take it out
Serve hot with your fav chutney
