Roasted Broccoli

My kids and hubby are big fans of broccoli. They need something else esp for weekday dinner in addition to main dish. So I normally do salad, soup or butter corn or something that is simple yet bit healthy. Boiled broccoli or roasted broccoli is something they love. But I never got chance to click. Today I managed to do it :-)

Broccoli - 2 cups,  cut into 2-inch-long florets

Red Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic - 5 chopped finely
Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon (reduce if you want milder flavour or your lemon is strong)
Olive oil - 2 tablespoon

Black Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste

Parmesan Cheese - 1/4 cup


Preheat the oven to 230 degree C (450 degree F).
Separate broccoli to flowerlets. In a bowl add the broccoli, red pepper flakes and garlic, and drizzle with the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and toss to coat. Leave it for 30 mins

Spread this in the baking tray and Roast until the stems are tender-crisp and lightly golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes.
Enjoy it hot
