Lemon Sevai / Lemon rice noodle / Lemon idiyappam

Whenever I have left over idiyappam / Sevai next day I pack for my lunch. But for past few times we managed to finish it. After long time I had some left over idiyappam last week. I took the oppurtunity to make Lemon idiyappam. It is very light and perfect for snack too
Ingredients
Idiyappam - 2 cups
Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon (adjust based on the sourness of the Lemon)
Turmeric powder - a generous pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon

urad dhal - 1 teaspoonbengal gram dhal / Channa dal - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 10-15 (finely chopped)
Red chillies -2 broken into few 1 inch pieces

Asafoetida /Hing - Pinch
Peas - 1/4 cup 
Onion - 3 tablespoon
Green chillies - 1 (finely chopped)

Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Method


Loosen the idiyappam and cut into 1/2 inch strings. Keep it aside. 
I have used frozen peas. Thaw the frozen peas and cook it in. Keep it aside
Heat the kada and add oil. When it is hot add mustard seeds. When it start to pop add curry leaves, urad dhal and bengal gram dhal and fry till it is brown in color. Add asafoetida and fry for another 10 sec. Add onion, green chillies and fry till onion is cooked.
Add idyappam and turmeric powder. Mix well. Add lemon juice. Add cooked peas and salt( if required). Mix well. Cook for another min. Switch it off and add coriander leaves
Garnish it with Coriander leaves and enjoy it
