Rawa (Rava) Urundai (balls) - Rava Ladoo - Rava Laddu

I like Rawa Urundai but any dish which need to be made into ball shape is big challenge.. It is so difficult to get same size balls ... I always struggle with these dishes (to make even size balls) but my helper / MIL does it in exact same size ... So after making flour I let my helper to do the urundai.. My kids like Rawa urundai also. I normally make the flour (powder) and keep it in the fridge so that I can make it whenever they ask for it

Rawa – 2 cups
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee - ½ cup
Cardamon Powder – 1 teaspoon
Cashew Nuts – 10

Fry the rawa in a dry kadai till hot to touch. Grind to a fine powder in a mixie. Powder sugar also. Sieve both the rawa and sugar powder separately.
Measure rawa powder and add equal amount of sugar powder.Add Caramon Powder
(You can do up to stage and keep the flour and whenever you need to make the urundai you can move on below steps)
In a kadai, put one teaspoon ghee and fry the cashew nuts.
Add it to the flour. Mix thoroughly.
Same kadai, put the remaining ghee and heat. Keep the flame to low. Take two or three big spoonful of rawa mix and put it in a plate.
Pour one or two tablespoon ghee and mix it with a spoon. Then mix it with your fingers and take this mixture into your palm, press it into small lemon size balls.
Finish all the flour like this.
