However and whatever I do this Thuvaiyal is not same as what my mother or MIL does. MIL house they grind it in traditional way (not in mixie) may be that gives the taste. This goes well for More Kulambu and Tamarind rice or vatha kulambu. I did this after long time my kids and my husband were having it for dinner also


Ingredients:
Thuvar dhal – ½ cup
Red Chilli – 4 Nos 
Garlic  – 4 Pods

Grated Coconut - 2 tablespoon
Salt – per taste

Oil - 2 teaspoon


Method:
Dry fry the dhal in a kadai without oil till it turns light pink. Cool it. 
In Same kada add oil when it is hot add garlic, coconut and red chilli fry for 2-4 mins. Add to fried dhal
Put it in a mixie. Add little water and grind to a coarse paste.

Serve with rice.
