My 2nd son loves Tamarind rice. The only reason he comes to temple is to get temple tamarind rice :-). He in fact went to the kitchen to ask for the recipe. I used to make tamarind paste to make rice but it was not that famous so I stopped making it. I normally pack this from my mum. Will post the recipe for the Tamarind paste separately. In this I am posting recipe for the rice only. Ingredients: Raw Rice - 1 cup Tamarind paste - 2 tablespoon (adjust it to your taste) Salt if required Gingerly oil - 2 teaspoon Roasted Peanut - 1 tablespoon Method: Cook rice till soft (but not mushy). Put it in a plate or broad vessel and spread it. Sprinkle oil over it and let it cool Add Peanut and mix it Add Tamarind paste and mix it well Serve with vadavam, chips or keerai kootu
