I wanted to try chutney / Thogayal with Gooseberry for a while. My husband and I normally take one gooseberry every day. I was not sure whether kids would like it. So I kept postponing making it. Other day when I was cleaning the fridge I had left over gooseberry and my kids were having their dinner outside since it is just me and my husband I decided try this chutney I have tried this with Dosa / Rava upuma. I wanted to try this starter for quite sometime. When I did a couple of times the light didn't co-operate with me. Nuts and Cumin seeds really goes well. Normally If I do for my family I will do it plain Jeera rice however If I cook for guests I will add nuts to it. Love the crunchiness and richness that gives to the rice. I have posted Almond Jeera rice in my space. I had some Cashew left in my fridge which I wanted to use it. So I ended up using it. Methi Poori. I have done this many times but not sure why it took so long to post this recipe in my space. My kids prefer Maida poori or Bhatora over wheat poori. However they are big fan of this Methi poori. This is very flavourful recipe. You can have it with simple pickle or yogurt based pachadi. I normally use fresh Methi leaves. If you don't get it you can use frozen or dry one. If you are using dried Methi soak it in hot water and drain the water before using it.Pin It Now!

An idea crossed my mind instead of using almond, sugar in the breakfast smoothie I thought using this mysore pak. It came out very nice. You can serve this as dessert by adding ice cream to it. Whenever I travel in the morning I will take salad with fresh vegetable and fruits (this is to get my veg and fruit count for the day.) as I feel more comfortable to take uncooked food from the place I stay VS somewhere outside. In China I tasted this Roasted Sesame seeds sauce sometime ago. I really loved the roasted flavour in it. I am pretty sure it has some Soya sauce, sugar and vinegar as part of ingredients. I tried couple of time but the taste is not the same. This time when I was in China I asked the Chef for the recipe. Guess what I was missing mayonnaise in my ingredients.
