My sis always do broccoli stir fry with Potato which I need to get the recipe and will post it later. I normally do broccoli cheesy wrap with it. This time when I brought it I wanted to do potato broccoli stir fry. But after cutting it it was bit more so decided to plain stir fry. In this made a onion, garlic and ginger paste. But you can just fry it before adding broccoli.Pin It Now!
Broccoli - 3 cups
Onion - 2 (Medium)
Garlic - 8 pods
Ginger - 1 inch
Curry leaves - 10
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Peanut powder - 2 tablespoon
Sambar powder - 1 to 2 teaspoon (adjust to your spice level)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Urad dhal - 1 teaspoon
Clean and cut the broccoli. Heat 2 teaspoon of oil. and fry garlic and ginger. Add onion and fry till they are transparent.
Add turmeric powder, Curry leaves, sambar powder. Fry for another 2 mins. Switch it off. Let it cool down. Grind to smooth paste.
Heat rest of the oil. Add mustard seeds and let it pop. Add urad dhal and fry till they are brown in color. Add broccoli and salt. You can close the lid to get it cooked I also sprinkled 2 tablespoon of water. Cook till 1/2 done ( about 3 mins).
