In my last trip to Brazil back in June in my office we had local feast. Part of it there were lots of desserts to try. I tried a few. I loved this one. I requested for the recipe from my colleague. She got it from her mum. I also told her the main ingredient in it is something I have tasted in China but in Soup. At first they told me it is White Conjica. I love jackfruit seeds. But after moving to Singapore I don't get it as I have to take it from Jackfruits that I buy. In any given week I buy jackfruit only one batch with 5 pieces so at the most I get only 5 seeds. My mum told me now a days we do get Jackfruit seeds in India. Millets are good for health. It has lot of vitamins and minerals. I find this Kanji gives good alternate option for breakfast / brunch from bread, oats etc.. I prefer it with buttermilk than milk. If you prefer you can replace the buttermilk with boiled milk. This keeps you filled for long time. So definitely good for dieting days. I love to try different flavours of dosa. My kids love dosa over idli. I also find that it is difficult to go wrong with Dosa and if you cannot make crispy dosa you can convert to uttappam. Jowar is high in nutrients. In my family it is called jonnalu dosa. But we get to do it only during season. But now a days you get these grains through out the year.
