Happy mother's day...here comes a simple and refreshing dessert to nurish your skin... I was introduced to a few Chinese traditional deserts which are mild in sweet but good for skin / body by my colleagues. Cheng Teng is one such dessert. I do this very often. I find it is quite refreshing ...
Ingredients:
White Fungus - 50g (Soak it for 1-2 hours and remove the head. Chop it into small pieces)
Lotus Seeds - 20g (soak for 1-2 hours and remove the center green stem. Otherwise it will be bitter)

Dried Longan - 20g
Red Dates - 10-15
Cane Sugar - to taste ( I have added 1/4 cup)
Dried Lilly bulb - 1/4 cup
Water - 2 litters
Method:
Bring water to boil and add all the ingredients into it. Boil it for 45 mins to 1 hour in medium flame
Enjoy it. I find it is very refreshing and quite soothing
All the ingredients sounds very interesting. I'm wondering what it tastes like. I had something of this kind in Thailand but I'm not sure about it..
